Job summary

Rumpke is seeking a skilled heavy equipment operator to join our on-site team. The role involves operating excavators, dozers, loaders, and other equipment while maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance.

You will perform inspections, basic maintenance, and assist with site preparation and waste handling. The position requires proven equipment proficiency, strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient on heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, and loaders.
• Must successfully complete training on landfill equipment and hazardous waste management.
• Good communication and ability to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with regulations and policies.
• Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain documentation.
• Conduct routine equipment maintenance and calibration tasks.
• Move waste and perform site preparation, earth moving, and landscaping duties.
• Interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Complete on-site roll-off duties and yard tractor operations as needed.
