Job summary

Panzarella MRF, LLC is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely run wheel loaders and excavators in a busy South Florida facility. You will move, sort, and stage recyclable and solid waste materials, while following safety protocols.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years' verifiable heavy equipment experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work overtime in a fast-paced environment. We offer competitive hourly wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience operating wheel loaders and/or excavators in a commercial/industrial setting.
• Ability to operate equipment safely in confined spaces with pedestrian traffic.
• Knowledge of equipment inspection procedures and basic preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read safety signage and follow written procedures.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate wheel loaders, excavators, and other heavy equipment to move, sort, load, and stage materials.
• Push up, pile, and manage material stockpiles to maintain efficient flow.
• Load and position materials for processing equipment including shredders, screens, and balers.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections; identify and report issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe, operable condition; fuel, grease, and check fluids.
• Follow all facility safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
• Communicate with floor personnel, spotters, and supervisors for safe equipment movement.
• Maintain an orderly work area to minimize hazards and maximize throughput.
• Respond to operational needs including clearing jams or blockages.
• Complete daily logs, inspection forms, and documentation accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor.
