Job summary

Whitaker Construction is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators to operate and maintain loaders, backhoes, trackhoes, and more across diverse sites in the Intermountain region. You will prepare job sites, meet grades, and ensure safe, efficient operation of machinery.

Requirements include 3+ years of multi-equipment experience, strong safety knowledge, valid driver’s license, and ability to work long hours in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Vocational training in heavy equipment operations is desirable.
• Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operator experience with multiple types of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules, regulations, and site-specific safety plans.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently to meet production goals.
• Locate utilities and buried lines prior to digging.
• Inspect and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain communication with field crew via hand signals or radio.
