Job summary

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service seeks an Engineering Equipment Operator WG-5716-08 at the Tensas River National Wildlife Refuge in Tallulah, Louisiana. You will operate multiple types of heavy engineering equipment to excavate, backfill, grade or level earth to exact specifications.

Work may include driving on steep and rough terrain to build and maintain roads and other facilities. Weekend work may be required. First-time federal hires typically start at the step 1 rate.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy engineering equipment such as graders, bulldozers, loaders, excavators/backhoes, and compactors.
• Ability to work on steep and rough terrain to excavate, backfill, grade or level earth to exact specifications.
• Documentation of relevant experience and training in the resume will be reviewed.
