Summary

You will serve as a Engineering Equipment Operator with US Fish and Wildlife Service.Operates, maintains, and repairs heavy equipment and facilities to support excavation, grading, earthmoving, infrastructure projects, and refuge operations. Leads activities by planning work steps, promoting safe practices, training others, and maintaining accurate equipment and maintenance records. The pay is $30.12-$35.12 per hour. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.

Major Duties

Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Moves equipment/materials safely and effectively around job sites. Maintaining/repairing infrastructure (consistently completing tasks) Performs maintenance on motor vehicles, heavy equipment, and small equipment. Follows equipment manuals and maintenance instructions. Performs maintenance/repair of buildings, fences, water control structures, etc.
