Do you have experience operating heavy construction equipment such as backhoes, skid steers, excavators, or loaders? Are you interested in learning the drilling and blasting industry with a stable, growing, majority employee-owned company? If yes, we want to meet you!

Hourly Rate: $20 - $22 per hour, plus travel stipend!

Responsibilities
  • Follow instructions from Superintendents, Blasting Supervisor, or Drill Operators.
  • Maintain safety awareness and work well in various weather conditions.
  • Travel out of town and work overtime as needed.
  • Perform daily maintenance for safe, efficient equipment operation.
  • Follow Company Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Learn and execute drill patterns and terminology as directed by the Blaster Foreman.
  • Manage accessories inventory, understand associated costs, and handle maintenance.
  • Communicate terrain and equipment issues to supervisors.
  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely, including drill reports and timesheets.
  • Maintain physical agility and coordinate supplies with the Blaster.
  • Participate in meetings and complete Driller I training within the designated period.
  • Work independently while maintaining urgency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
About You

Qualifications

Experience with equipment operation (earth-moving, farm, timber harvesting, etc.) is helpful.
Valid Driver's License with own transportation.
Experience as a construction laborer.
Strong common sense regarding equipment and machinery operation.
Mechanical aptitude preferred.
Ability to pass physical, drug, and background checks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift 50-100 lbs., 30-40% of the time.
  • Work on uneven surfaces in various weather conditions.
  • Bend and stoop 30-40% of the time.
