Do you have experience operating heavy construction equipment such as backhoes, skid steers, excavators, or loaders? Are you interested in learning the drilling and blasting industry with a stable, growing, majority employee-owned company? If yes, we want to meet you!

Hourly Rate: $20 - $22 per hour, plus travel stipend.

Responsibilities
  • Follow instructions from Superintendents, Blasting Supervisors, or Drill Operators.
  • Be safety-minded and able to work in various weather conditions.
  • Travel out of town and work overtime as needed.
  • Perform daily maintenance for safe, efficient equipment operation.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
  • Learn and execute drill patterns and layouts as directed.
  • Manage accessories, understand costs, and perform maintenance.
  • Communicate issues and terrain conditions to supervisors.
  • Complete and submit reports and paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Maintain physical agility and coordinate supplies.
  • Participate in meetings and complete Driller I training.
  • Work independently with a sense of urgency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
About You

Qualifications:

  • Experience operating construction or farm equipment is helpful.
  • Valid Driver's License with own transportation.
  • Experience as a construction laborer.
  • Good sense regarding equipment operation.
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Ability to pass physical, drug, and background screenings.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift 50-100 lbs., 30-40% of the time.
  • Work on uneven surfaces in various weather conditions.
  • Stooping and bending 30-40% of the time.
