About The Opportunity

If you seek advancement, we offer industry-leading learning and development opportunities, with a focus on internal promotion. We are looking for individuals experienced with operating heavy construction equipment such as backhoes, skid steers, excavators, or loaders, who are interested in learning the drilling and blasting industry within a stable, growing, employee-owned company.

Hourly Rate: $20 - $22 per hour, plus travel stipend

Responsibilities
  • Follow instructions from Superintendents, Blasting Supervisors, or Drill Operators
  • Maintain safety standards and work well in varying weather conditions
  • Travel out of town and work overtime as needed
  • Perform daily equipment maintenance for safety and efficiency
  • Adhere to company safety policies
  • Learn and execute drill patterns as directed by the Blaster Foreman
  • Manage inventory and understand accessory costs and maintenance
  • Communicate terrain and equipment issues to supervisors
  • Complete and submit required paperwork accurately and promptly
  • Maintain physical agility and carry tools and supplies
  • Participate in safety and job meetings
  • Complete Driller I training within the specified timeframe
  • Work independently while maintaining urgency
  • Perform other duties as assigned
About You

Qualifications:

  • Experience operating heavy equipment is helpful
  • Valid Driver's License and own transportation
  • Construction labor experience preferred
  • Good judgment regarding equipment operation
  • Mechanical aptitude desired
  • Ability to pass physical, drug, and background checks

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift 50-100 lbs. as needed
  • Work on uneven surfaces in various weather conditions
  • Stooping and bending regularly
