Job summary

EMR USA in Rice Lake, WI is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to load, unload and transport scrap metal within our yard. You will operate material handler, front end loader and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently while performing daily maintenance.

This full-time, year-round role offers Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm, competitive pay starting at $21+ per hour, PTO, holidays, health insurance and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Maneuver in and around equipment to inspect, operate and maintain company property.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handler, front end loader and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform daily maintenance and inspections
• Identify and process different types of scrap metal and report load details
• Meet production goals, keep worksite clean and organized, and assist with other tasks as needed
