Job summary

Alter Trading in Greeley, CO is hiring an Equipment Operator for full-time production. You will learn and operate the material handler, hydraulic crane, end loader and other yard equipment, perform safety checks, and ensure accurate documentation while maintaining attendance and teamwork.

The role requires prior equipment operation experience, a diploma or GED, reliability and teachability; strong safety awareness; and the ability to read and follow procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires diploma or GED and/or three to five years related experience.
• Prior experience operating equipment including forklift, tractor, skid steer, loader and hydraulic crane.
• Reliable attendance and team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment safety checks according to the checklist.
• Check all equipment fluids and back-up alarms, add fluid as needed.
• Perform lubrication and daily service tasks as per procedure.
• Start equipment and monitor gauges for proper operation.
• Load/unload trucks and rail cars, feed scrap processing equipment safely.
• Follow shutdown procedures and complete required paperwork.
