Job summary

Alter Trading Corp in Greeley, CO is seeking an Equipment Operator to learn and operate material handling equipment, hydraulic crane, end loader, and related gear while moving materials safely in the yard.

You will perform safety checks, monitor fluid levels, assist with loading/unloading, and maintain records in accordance with company procedures. Strong attendance and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Requires diploma or GED with 3–5 years related experience.
• Experience operating forklift, tractor, skid steer, loader and hydraulic crane.
• Average mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment safety checks according to the checklist.
• Check fluids and back-up alarm; add fluids as needed.
• Lubricate and perform daily service per procedures.
• Start equipment and read gauges for proper operation.
• Operate heavy equipment to load/unload trucks and rail cars.
• Switch railroad cars as directed.
• Follow shutdown procedures and complete paperwork.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping and safety compliance.
• Plan work sequences for efficient completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
