Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking a skilled heavy equipment operator to work on construction sites in Russel Springs, Kentucky. You will operate equipment safely and efficiently, following project specs and safety protocols.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, loading and unloading materials, grading, trenching, documenting daily production, and collaborating with the team. A high school diploma and 2–5 years of experience are required; NCCER certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• NCCER certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and other construction documents.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and graders on projects.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections and report defects.
• Load/unload materials, grade earth, dig trenches, and prepare sites.
• Follow safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain a clean work area and ensure equipment is maintained.
• Collaborate with team to ensure project success.
• Complete daily production reports and documentation on time.
• Assist with manual labor as needed.
