Job summary

Black & Veatch in Augusta, SC is seeking a skilled equipment operator to run power construction machinery (track loader, dozer, excavator, grader, and more) to excavate, move and grade material on a busy project site. You will follow project specs, document daily inspections, and coordinate with crew to ensure timely progress.

Minimum qualifications include 3+ years or 6,000 hours of operating experience, a valid CDL for road work, OCI Equipment Qualification card, and NCCER certifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years or 6,000 hours of equipment operator experience.
• Copy of Medical Examiner's Certificate on file before operation begins.
• Commercial driver's license required when equipment operated on public roads.
• OCI Equipment Qualification card endorsed for the unit operated.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Operate power construction equipment to excavate, move and grade material according to project specs.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew and respond to signals to move loads safely.
• Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials using trucks and related machinery.
• Check fuel levels and ensure adequate availability at sites.
• Perform daily inspections and document results; maintain logs.
