B&S Site Development in Leesburg, VA is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to operate bulldozers, excavators, loaders and other heavy machinery for large parcel civil projects. The role emphasizes safety, precise excavation, and coordination with other crews to ensure timely, compliant project completion.

The position requires 1–2 years in construction, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of construction experience.
• Technical studies or prior experience operating different types of heavy equipment is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Capacidad to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to receive and follow instructions.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment safely.
• Excavate trenches for underground utilities (water, drainage, sewer).
• Assist crews with installing sanitary and storm piping.
• Comply with all project safety procedures.
• Operate machinery to move, load and place materials accurately.
• Prepare work areas for construction, demolition or excavation.
