Florida Department of Transportation seeks an Equipment Operator in District Six, South Dade Maintenance, Miami. The role supports highway and bridge maintenance using front-end loaders, graders, and other equipment, performing inspections and minor repairs as needed.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, minor repairs, and assisting with tree trimming, sign installation, and temporary traffic control.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform mathematical calculations.
• Must follow standard safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate and perform minor maintenance on small/medium equipment and vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy and light equipment to maintain highways and bridges.
• Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance on equipment.
• Assist with tree trimming, carpentry, masonry, painting, and sign installation.
