Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support the MFC Maintenance team on a 4x10 schedule with Fridays off. You will operate road graders, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, trucks, and forklifts to maintain roads, grounds, and facilities, enabling science and project work.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, 4+ years EO experience, CDL Class A with endorsements, US citizenship, and DOE L clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required with minimum 4 years of Equipment Operator experience.
• CDL Class A with T, H, N endorsements required.
• Must be a US citizen and capable of obtaining DOE L security clearance.
• Qualified as RAD Worker II and rigger per DOE STD 1090.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment for road, grounds, landfill, and facility maintenance.
• Perform rigging inspections and operate overhead/mobile cranes.
• Read drawings and consult with customers to define job requirements and deliver results.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with DOE orders and facility standards.
• Maintain equipment and perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance.
• Document work activities and maintain housekeeping and safety practices.
