Job summary

Hensel Phelps is hiring an Equipment Operator to operate and maintain a wide range of construction machinery on our job sites. This safety-sensitive role requires vigilant adherence to OSHA guidelines and thorough equipment inspection.

You will perform preventive maintenance, document hazards, and support a safe, efficient crew on projects nationwide. A High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and reliable work ethic are required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a variety of construction machinery.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Commitment to safety and hazard awareness.
• Effective communication with crew and site supervision.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks and endure field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate, fuel, and clean equipment.
• Promote safety and communicate jobsite hazards.
• Operate cranes, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, trucks, pumps and drills.
• Perform trenching/excavating per OSHA guidelines.
• Carry out backfill and other earthwork tasks.
• Inspect and document heavy equipment.
• Complete safety checks and reports.
