Qualifications

• 9 months training or 9 months experience in operation of heavy motorized equipment (e.g., dozer, roller, excavator, dump truck)
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy motorized equipment to complete variety of construction & maintenance functions
• Performs wildfire support (e.g., forest fire line construction, trails, culverts, roads & bridges)
• Performs general maintenance & repairs on equipment & buildings/grounds
• Assist with wildfire suppression (e.g., wildfire & prescribe fire support)
• Starting hourly pay of $22.29/hr with raises to $24.63/hr over 3.5 years
• COLA adjustments possible; longevity pay after 5 years of service
