Job summary

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) seeks an Equipment Operator 2 for Blue Rock State Forest in Muskingum County, Ohio. This full-time position requires a Class A CDL with no restrictions and offers an initial pay of $22.29/hour with increases to $24.63/hour over 3.5 years.

You will operate heavy equipment, support wildfire response, perform maintenance, and contribute to forest and park projects.

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic and basic English vocabulary; 9 months or more of heavy equipment operation experience; valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy motorized equipment to complete construction & maintenance tasks.
• Performs wildfire support including forest fire line construction and trail work.
• Maintains and repairs equipment and buildings/grounds.
• Assists with wildfire suppression efforts.
• Starting pay $22.29/hr with raises up to $24.63/hr over 3.5 years.
