Job summary

Morgan Construction and Environmental Ltd. seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator for long-term field work across Nevada and Idaho. Operate dozers, excavators, graders, and rock trucks, inspect equipment, and follow safety standards.

Rotational schedule up to 12 hours, day and night shifts, with lodging and meal allowances on project sites. Reliability, hands-on problem solving, and safe outdoor work ethic are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years recent experience operating heavy equipment (dozers, excavators, graders, rock trucks).
• Experience on access roads, mining haul roads and pads.
• Finish/trim experience preferred.
• MSHA 48 training certificate or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment in support of Project Scope work mandate.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, examining tires, fluids, lights and brakes for safety and functionality.
• Adhere to project specifications and guidelines to maintain quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and site personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Champion safety by adhering to Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies.
• Maintain awareness of hazards and perform JSA/FLHA as required.
• Demonstrate judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate with team and take ownership of tasks.
• Operate 2-way radio and shovel out equipment tracks.
• Perform labour duties as required and assist ground personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.
