Job summary

Central Stone Company, a long-standing limestone producer in the Midwest, is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator for our Pittsfield, IL location. This full-time, day shift role offers a competitive wage and a comprehensive benefits package.

The ideal candidate will have proven mechanical skills, welding experience, and the ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment safely in all weather conditions. Pre-employment checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and environmental rules and procedures.
• Operate and monitor heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform preventive maintenance and simple repairs as needed.
• Communicate with management about safety, maintenance and production needs.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Our ideal candidate would possess proven mechanical skills, welding, and experience maintaining and operating heavy equipment!

Heavy Equipment Operator major responsibilities include:

• Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and MSHA
• Operate and monitor all equipment and production area safely and efficiently
• Perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections; repair and/or clean equipment as needed
• Communicate with plant management team on all safety, maintenance, and production needs
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
