Based in Louisville, Kentucky, Charah Solutions is a leading provider of environmental services and byproduct sales to the power generation industry. We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator responsible for operating heavy construction equipment such as forklifts, dozers, front end loaders, excavators, rollers, backhoes, or articulated dump trucks in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Load and move materials (ash, dirt, rock, etc.) using heavy equipment
• Drive and maneuver equipment with blades to level earth or terrain
• Coordinate machine actions with other crew members
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment
• Adjust controls to operate machinery precisely
• Follow all safety regulations and promote safety practices
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year experience operating heavy equipment in construction or similar environment
• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of ash management, structural fills, and landfills preferred
• Knowledge of machine design, use, repair, and maintenance preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
