Job summary

Harsco Environmental in Kingman, AZ is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support day-to-day operations at our steel/metals recovery plant. You will run loaders, excavators, skid steers, cranes, and heavy trucks, performing pre- and post-inspections and upholding safety standards.

This role requires 1–3 years of equipment experience, strong communication, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years experience operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Good communication and reading of instructions.
• Safety-focused and team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine pre-start and post-start inspections on mobile equipment.
• Operate loaders, excavators, skid-steer, cranes and heavy trucks as assigned.
• Follow plant safety guidelines for safe operation and reporting.

Job Description

This position is responsible for day to day Heavy Equipment Operation activities at a steelmetal recovery plant. Running equipment such as loaders, excavators, skidsteer, heavy duty trucks, cranes. Duties include but not limited to:

A. Performs routine mobile equipment pre start and post inspections and records activity on inspection sheets.

B. Follows all plant safety guidelines for the safe operations of heavy mobile equipment.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. 1 - 3 year’s experience as a equipment operator.

3. Ability to do manual labor in an outdoor environment that may include elevated areas and extreme weather conditions.

4. Good communications skills, and the ability to read operating instructions.

5. Proactive in SAFETY and works well in a team environment.
