Job summary

WM is seeking a dependable equipment operator to support landfill construction, cell preparation, maintenance, and site closures.

You will operate a range of heavy equipment, perform routine inspections, record maintenance, and follow safety procedures in all weather conditions. Prior heavy equipment experience is preferred, and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• No education required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Proficient in operating equipment at an intermediate level across site operations
• Preferred qualifications include 1 year of heavy equipment experience

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance; keeps accurate records.
• Moves and positions raw materials and finished components using material moving equipment.
• Follows standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicles.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Operate a wide variety of heavy equipment vehicles that construct landfills, open cells that are ready for trash fill, close cells, site maintenance, site closures, and/or mining.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned and not limited to the following:
• Operates heavy equipment in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures.
• Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records
• Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with use of material moving equipment.
• Follow appropriate standard operating procedures as guideline for operating and maintaining vehicle
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age and
• Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located and
• Proficient in operating the minimum required equipment at an intermediate level based on site operations, which may include:
• Tipper
• ADTs
• Compactors (excluding on-grade outside slope construction)
• Wheel Loader
• Various Small Equipment (such as skid steers, tractors, water truck)
• Valid Driver's License
• Pre-assignment and/or pre-hire customer-specific drug and/or alcohol testing may be required by certain customer contract requirements. Such testing may include urinalysis, drug hair follicle testing and/or alcohol testing.
• TWIC Card or the ability to obtain one prior to starting.
• Preferred Qualifications
• 1 year Previous experience operating heavy equipment

Field: This job operates in both inside garage, shop or gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity.
