Job summary

CRH is seeking a skilled maintenance technician in Farmington, NM to repair and maintain construction and mechanical equipment, including trucks, batch plants, paving machines, and more. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with electrical and hydraulic systems, engines, and transmissions.

The successful candidate will be able to work nights and weekends as needed and adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• 5 years of experience in mechanics or related field.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Safety-minded with ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots problems, making economical and durable repairs.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
• Maintains and repairs heavy equipment, trucks, shops, and non-mobile equipment on an accompany-wide basis.
• Services vehicles/equipment to include oil changes, greasing, adding fluids, changing filters, and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules.
• Ensure Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, drive trains, etc.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Install special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Start devices to test their performance.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Welds broken parts and structural members.
• Other duties as assigned.
