Georgia-Pacific in Sweetwater, TX is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect, service and repair heavy equipment, machinery and job-site vehicles. The position requires adapting to a changing workload driven by quarry production and involves work both indoors and outdoors in heat, dust and cold.

You will diagnose equipment, use diagnostic tools and perform repairs to meet manufacturer specifications, schedule maintenance, keep service records and maintain a tidy ME shop.

Formación

• At least 1 year of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
• Experience with haul trucks, excavators, loaders, dozers, skid loaders, surface miner or related equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors with overtime opportunities.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and maintain a variety of heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic equipment and calibration devices to diagnose defects and plan repairs.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair to ensure proper performance and compliance with specifications.
• Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
• Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and keep service records.
• Keep the ME shop clean and organized.
