Job summary

York Building Products Co is seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic to work on heavy equipment including loaders, dozers, excavators and haul trucks. You’ll diagnose, repair, weld, and return machines to work, with dealer training provided to sharpen skills.

You’ll operate inside and outside around dust and noise and will lift up to 50 pounds. A valid driver's license and ability to work overtime are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working on diesel trucks and/or heavy equipment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, transmission, and brake problems.
• Experience with OEM diagnostic software.
• Willing to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy mobile equipment and trucks.
• Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Use OEM diagnostic software to find problems and root causes.
• Inspect equipment and document repairs in CMMS.
• Test equipment after repairs to ensure safety and readiness.
• Fabricate, modify, and install parts using welders and torches.
• Follow safety procedures and standards.
