Job summary

The DC Army National Guard is seeking a Construction Vehicle Repairer to maintain trucks, bulldozers, power shovels and other heavy equipment used in construction operations.

You will troubleshoot engines, electrical systems, hydraulics and brakes, perform tuneups and replace worn parts, all while earning a paycheck.

This role includes paid training, tuition assistance, and a clear path to military benefits with Basic and Advanced Training.

Qualifications

• Must enlist in the Army National Guard.
• Must be 17–35 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Requires passing a physical exam and meeting standards.
• Citizenship as required by NATIONALGUARD.com.

Responsibilities

• Service drive shafts, heads, brakes, water pumps, and turbochargers.
• Maintain and replace cylinder heads, fuel injection pumps, and road wheels.
• Troubleshoot engines, electrical systems, brakes and suspensions.
• Establish and follow maintenance schedules.
