Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Construction Vehicle Repairer to maintain trucks, bulldozers, power shovels, and other heavy equipment essential for construction operations.

You will diagnose and repair engines, hydraulic systems, brakes, and suspensions while learning through paid training. This role combines hands-on maintenance with the structured Army National Guard program, including drill weekends and potential tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED.
• Must be between ages 17 and 35.
• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard required.
• Ability to pass a physical exam and meet standards.
• Citizenship requirements per NATIONALGUARD.com.

Responsibilities

• Service drive shafts, universal joints, service brake shoes, water pumps, and turbochargers.
• Maintain and replace cylinder heads, high-pressure fuel injection pumps, and road wheels.
