Job summary

The DC Army National Guard is seeking a Construction Vehicle Repairer to maintain trucks, bulldozers, power shovels, and other heavy equipment used in construction operations. You will diagnose, repair, and replace components such as brake actuators, starters, pumps, and hydraulic systems while following maintenance schedules.

This role offers paid basic and advanced training, a regular paycheck, tuition assistance, health benefits, and veteran benefits through the Montgomery GI Bill.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
• Must meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details)

Responsibilities

• Service drive shafts, universal joints, service brake shoes, water pumps, and turbochargers
• Maintain and replace cylinder heads, high-pressure fuel injection pumps, and road wheels
