Job summary

Kiewit_Craft is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for an Abilene, TX project. The role demands 3+ years of heavy equipment experience with the ability to diagnose and repair hydraulics, electrical and powertrain systems on Caterpillar and other major brands.

The successful candidate will operate on a full-time schedule, typically 7:00am–7:00pm, with possible overtime and weekends. Drug/alcohol testing is required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Experience maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heavy construction equipment (hydraulic, electric, and powertrain).
• Knowledge of Caterpillar, Liebherr, Xtreme, Takeuchi equipment.
• Experience with CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, Diesel Laptop.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose and repair all types of heavy construction equipment on site.
• Read and follow written and verbal instructions from supervision.
• Utilize hand and power tools to service equipment safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with maintenance team to ensure minimal downtime.
