Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a project in Abilene, TX. The role requires 3+ years of heavy equipment experience and the ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic, electric, and powertrain systems.

You will work with Caterpillar, Liebherr, Xtreme, and Takeuchi machines and use CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, and Diesel Laptop for diagnostics. Overtime, weekends, and nights may be required; drug/alcohol screening is mandatory.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy construction equipment including hydraulic, electric, and power train systems.
• Operate with equipment: Caterpillar, Liebherr, Xtreme, Takeuchi, as described.
• Use CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, Diesel Laptop for diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and nights when required.
• Pass Drug and Alcohol testing as part of the employment process.
