Job summary

Adams Land and Cattle, LLC in Broken Bow, NE is seeking a skilled mechanic to join our Shop team. The role focuses on repairing heavy equipment, vehicles, and other mechanical systems to keep ALCC operations running smoothly.

You will troubleshoot issues, inspect and test components, support preventative maintenance, and collaborate with contractors and internal staff. A vocational certificate or apprenticeship is preferred, with at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a mechanic.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and electrical components of equipment and vehicles.
• Aptitude in using various hand tools, precision measurement tools and shop equipment.
• Ability to follow established procedures, read instructions, blueprints, auto cad drawings, etc.
• Working knowledge of diagnostic methods and systems.
• Very good problem-solving ability.
• Possess great attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects/work efforts.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience.
• Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducting quality repairs on ALCC agriculture equipment to ensure maximum functionality, reliability and longevity.
• Troubleshooting reported problems on equipment and vehicles, diagnosing breakdowns and repairing issues promptly.
• Inspecting equipment, engines and systems, and running diagnostic tests to identify functionality issues.
• Supporting preventative maintenance by educating equipment operators on daily maintenance.
• Maintaining shop equipment, parts crib and inventory in satisfactory condition.
• Collaborating with external contract resources and internal teams to complete repairs and improve processes.
