Job summary

MasterTech in Abilene, TX is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to maintain, diagnose, and repair a diverse line of heavy equipment in a shop and field service environment.

You will work a day shift (roughly 7AM–4PM) with overtime available, and join a team that values safety, quality workmanship and timely on-site service. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package, 401(k) with matching, boot and tool allowance, and a company vehicle program.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Diesel Mechanic or completion of a Diesel Technology/Mechanic program.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Proficient with diagnostic scanning tools.
• Welding experience is preferred.
• Experience with construction, earth moving, forestry, mining, or landscaping equipment is preferred.

MasterTech is on the search for experienced Diesel Mechanics in the AbileneTX area.

Mechanics will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of a diverse line of heavy equipment in a shop and field service environment.

Compensation:

• $25.00 - $38.00/hour+ based on experience, training, certifications, etc.
• Comprehensive benefits plan. Company pays 100% of employee premiums. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, etc.

• Company service vehicle and gas card available for field service openings.

Shift:

• Day shift, roughly 7AM - 4PM, (Monday to Friday). Overtime available.

Key Qualifications:

• 3 or more years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, or completion of a Diesel Technology/Mechanic program.
• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
