Rummel Construction, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for the 2nd shift in the Phoenix metro area. Start times vary by season, supporting a large fleet and a range of machines including scrapers, dozers, motor graders and excavators.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment, complete required logs, and follow safety procedures to keep projects on schedule. This is a full-time on-site role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience repairing CAT, John Deere, or other heavy equipment.
• DOT Med Card or ability to obtain one.
• Basic mechanic experience with hand tools (wrenches, sockets).
• Ability to lift, load, and unload up to 50 lbs.
• Follow safety precautions while repairing and diagnosing machines.
• Experience with welding and grinding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair and diagnose heavy equipment such as scrapers, dozers, motor graders and excavators.
• Maintain and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
• Complete inspection logs and DOT compliance documentation.
