Job summary

Bejac Corporation in Visalia, CA is seeking an experienced heavy equipment mechanic for shop service. The role is hands-on, with duties at our shop and on customer sites, and overtime is required due to busy workload.

You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, and major component work, plan tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team. A valid Class B license and welding/electrical experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience maintaining/servicing heavy equipment.
• Equipment dealership background ideal.
• Must be able to lift 75# unassisted.
• Welding experience.
• Hydraulic & electrical experience.
• Mid-level diagnostic ability.
• Repair major components like axles, engines, transmissions.
• Repairs on attachments such as hammers and shears.
• Engine certifications a plus.
• Clean valid Class B driver's license, recent printout required.
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Service customer equipment in shop or at customer’s jobsite
• Capable of completing jobs at or under manufacturer’s published flat rate repair times
• Ability to plan work and complete route maintenance services without supervision
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs
• Must be able to work under pressure independently and as a team player

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25-38 per hour
