Job summary

ORE Rentals in Quakertown, PA is seeking a hands-on heavy equipment technician to join our maintenance team. You will repair and service diesel engines, hydraulics, propane and electrical systems on rental equipment.

This full-time, weekday role offers steady hours, opportunities to work independently and in a team, and benefits including health and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with diesel engines and hydraulics.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and in a team setting.
• Ability to handle assorted tools safely.
• Basic computer knowledge to open and close work orders.
• Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. and infrequently lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to climb over and into heavy equipment occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Experience in latest electronically controlled machinery and heavy equipment.
• Responsible for repairs and general maintenance to all rental and shop equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and propane systems.

Full Time

Monday through Friday 7AM-5PM: No weekends!

Key Job Responsibilities

• Experience in latest electronically controlled machinery and heavy equipment
• Responsible for repairs and general maintenance to all rental and shop equipment:
• Internal Combustion Engines (both gas and diesel)
• Propane & hydraulic systems
• Track & Aerial Equipment
• Able to fully comprehend hydraulic and electrical schematics with a history of successful troubleshooting and technical experience
• Diagnose and troubleshoot: fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and propane systems
• Must be able to communicate verbally and written in a service-oriented manner to fellow team members, vendors, and manufacturers for questions and support
• Perform work in a safe and responsible manner
