Job summary

Brandenburg Industrial SVC CO is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for the Mid-Atlantic Division. The role involves dismantling, diagnosing, and repairing gasoline and diesel equipment, with responsibilities including routine maintenance and parts documentation.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years' repair experience. DOT physical, tool proficiency, and ability to work independently are required, with travel up to 100% as needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years' experience repairing heavy equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze equipment malfunctions
• Knowledge of electric, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Read and implement mobile equipment maintenance manuals
• Pass a DOT Physical
• CDL or ability to obtain CDL would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Dismantle and reassemble gasoline & diesel equipment using hand tools and hoists
• Repair and replace major components, damaged and worn parts
• Perform routine maintenance and keep equipment clean and lubricated
• Determine nature and extent of equipment failures
• Document maintenance and repair work performed and parts used
• Work safely in PPE and meet environmental and safety policies

Hourly Range: $27.15 - $43.45 and benefit package per Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Duties / Responsibilities / Physical Requirements

• Dismantle and reassemble gasoline & diesel equipment using various hand tools and/or hoists
• Repair & replace major components, damaged and warn parts
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
• Determine nature and extent of equipment failures
• Identify required repair parts & supplies
• Document maintenance and repair work performed
• Record parts and supply usage
• Agility to access and repair components on heavy equipment
• Agility to climb onto, into and out of equipment using ladder
• Agility to walk and work on uneven surfaces
• Ability to climb, kneel, stoop, bend, lift, push/pull and / or reach frequently
• Agility, bodily coordination & dexterity of hands and feet
• Ensure the quality and timely completion of work scheduled by the supervisor
• Ability to work productively in personal protective equipment throughout work shift in all weather conditions
• Perform safety sensitive tasks
• Perform all work in accordance with Brandenburg's environmental and safety policies

Education / Experience
