Job summary

Brandenburg Industrial SVC CO is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in our Mid-Atlantic Division. The role is full-time with travel up to 100% and an hourly wage ranging from $27.15 to $43.45, plus benefits per the collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities include dismantling, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment, and ensuring timely completion of scheduled work. Qualifications include a HS diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of relevant repair experience.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years' experience repairing heavy equipment.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle and reassemble gasoline and diesel equipment using hand tools/hoists.
• Repair and replace major components and worn parts.
• Perform routine maintenance: clean, lubricate, adjust, inspect.
• Identify and document failures and required parts.
• Record parts usage and maintenance activities.
• Work safely in PPE; adhere to environmental and safety policies.

Duties / Responsibilities / Physical Requirements

• Dismantle and reassemble gasoline & diesel equipment using various hand tools and/or hoists
• Repair & replace major components, damaged and warn parts
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
• Determine nature and extent of equipment failures
• Identify required repair parts & supplies
• Document maintenance and repair work performed
• Record parts and supply usage
• Agility to access and repair components on heavy equipment
• Agility to climb onto, into and out of equipment using ladder
• Agility to walk and work on uneven surfaces
• Ability to climb, kneel, stoop, bend, lift, push/pull and / or reach frequently
• Agility, bodily coordination & dexterity of hands and feet
• Ensure the quality and timely completion of work scheduled by the supervisor
• Ability to work productively in personal protective equipment throughout work shift in all weather conditions
• Perform safety sensitive tasks
• Perform all work in accordance with Brandenburg's environmental and safety policies

Education / Experience

Candidates must have a HS diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years' experience repairing heavy equipment
