Job summary

Brandenburg Industrial Svc Co. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for its Mid-Atlantic Division. The role involves dismantling, repairing, and maintaining gasoline and diesel equipment, with up to 100% travel and an hourly wage in a benefits package per the collective bargaining agreement.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of repair experience. A valid CDL or ability to obtain one is preferred, and safety-conscious, independent workers are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years' experience repairing heavy equipment.
• Read & implement maintenance manuals.
• Ability to pass a DOT Physical; CDL or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle and reassemble gasoline & diesel equipment using various hand tools and/or hoists.
• Repair & replace major components, damaged and worn parts.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
• Determine nature and extent of equipment failures.
• Identify required repair parts & supplies.
• Document maintenance and repair work performed.
• Record parts and supply usage.
• Work safely in PPE and all weather conditions.
• Ensure timely completion of work scheduled by supervisor.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Location: Mid-Atlantic Division

Job Type: Full-Time

Travel: Up to 100%

Salary: Hourly Range: $27.15 - $43.45 and benefit package per Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Duties/Responsibilities/Physical Requirements

• Dismantle and reassemble gasoline & diesel equipment using various hand tools and/or hoists
• Repair & replace major components, damaged and warn parts
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
• Determine nature and extent of equipment failures
• Identify required repair parts & supplies
• Document maintenance and repair work performed
• Record parts and supply usage
• Agility to access and repair components on heavy equipment
• Agility to climb onto, into and out of equipment using ladder
• Agility to walk and work on uneven surfaces
• Ability to climb, kneel, stoop, bend, lift, push/pull and / or reach frequently
• Agility, bodily coordination & dexterity of hands and feet
• Ensure the quality and timely completion of work scheduled by the supervisor
• Ability to work productively in personal protective equipment throughout work shift in all weather conditions
• Perform safety sensitive tasks
• Perform all work in accordance with Brandenburg's environmental and safety policies

Education / Experience

Candidates must have a HS diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years' experience repairing heavy equipment
