Perform routine and complex repairs on a variety of heavy equipment and other machines in support of landfill operations. Assist with inventory of parts and supplies, schedule repairs and routine PMs, maintain records for all landfill vehicles and equipment.
- Perform diagnostic analysis of breakdowns and make necessary repairs to get the machine back in normal operating condition. Perform routine PMs to heavy equipment including, but not limited to, dozers, compactors, excavators, rock trucks, and other equipment that supports the operations of the landfill.
- Schedule equipment maintenance and repairs with outside contractors when necessary due to warranty requirements or complexity of repair.
- Weld in order to make certain repairs to equipment.
- May be called upon to help with maintenance to building, facilities, and structures on landfill property.
- May operate heavy equipment if needed.
- Completes all projects in accordance with established standards for quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Participate and attend all safety meetings. Adhere closely to all safety policies, procedures, and best practices in order to maintain a safe workplace for everyone.
Typical work week is 10 hours per day, 50 hours per week, Monday through Friday
