Griffin Brothers is looking for a Heavy Equipment Preventive Maintenance Service Technician who is a skilled professional who inspects, services, and repairs heavy machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficient operation. Their duties include performing scheduled maintenance like lubrication and oil changes, using diagnostic tools to identify issues, and making necessary repairs on equipment like excavators, bulldozers, and lifts. This role requires strong mechanical and problem‑solving skills, familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems, and often a technical diploma or relevant certifications.

Key responsibilities
  • Preventive maintenance: Conduct routine checks and tasks, such as changing fluids, lubricating moving parts, and tightening connections, to extend equipment lifespan and prevent future problems.
  • Troubleshooting and repair: Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using both traditional tools and computerized diagnostic equipment.
  • Equipment upkeep: Maintain a variety of heavy machinery used in the landfill.
