HiFyve's client in Carterville, IL is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their service team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, graders, scrapers, and wheel loaders, with a focus on hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems.

Formación

• 3 years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment.
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems.
• Experience with manufacturer diagnostic software preferred.
• Must supply own hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical service manuals and electrical schematics.

Responsabilidades

Our client is a well-established heavy equipment dealer seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their service team in Carterville, IL. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with competitive pay and a stable, team-oriented shop environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction and earthmoving equipment including excavators, dozers, graders, scrapers, and wheel loaders
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and major component replacement
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and diesel engine systems
• Complete warranty and customer-pay repair orders accurately and efficiently
• Use electronic diagnostic software and service tools to identify and resolve faults
• Document all work performed in the shop management system

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay rate: $30.00 — $40.00 per hour (based on experience)
