Job summary

HiFyve, a leading heavy equipment dealer in Columbia, SC, seeks an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join the service team. This full-time, direct-hire role offers strong compensation and a team-focused shop environment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, preventive maintenance, and documenting work in the dealer management system. Applicants should have 3+ years of hands-on experience and own hand tools; a CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems
• Experience with manufacturer diagnostic software preferred
• Must supply own hand tools
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL a plus
• Ability to read and interpret technical service manuals and wiring diagrams

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction and earthmoving equipment (excavators, dozers, graders, wheel loaders, etc.)
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and component replacement
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and engine systems
• Complete warranty and customer-pay repair orders accurately and on time
• Use diagnostic software and electronic service tools to identify faults
• Document all work performed in the dealer management system

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay rate: $35.00 — $45.00 per hour (based on experience)
