Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a skilled mobile/heavy equipment technician in Texas to perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on haul trucks and other heavy machinery. You will diagnose diesel and gasoline engines, replace bearings and brakes, and complete overhauls with welding and cutting as needed.

Safety, SQF compliance, and accurate SAP record-keeping are required. A high school diploma or GED is essential; technical training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment with diesel engines.
• Preferred 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
• Technical training or AA degree in a technical field is desired.
• Welding, diesel engine repair, electrical work and hydraulics experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mobile/heavy equipment.
• Document maintenance history in SAP with quality comments.
• Complete PM work orders and ensure parts are ordered for the weekly HME schedule.
• Input quality notifications into SAP (5+ per week).
• Adhere to safety, SQF and environmental compliance requirements.
