Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform inspections, repairs, and rebuilds on plant equipment to improve OEE and uptime. You will participate in safety programs and trainings, support preventive maintenance, and work with carpentry, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities include installing bearings and mechanical components, reading blueprints, and operating maintenance machinery on a 12‑hour shift schedule as needed. Training opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years mechanical experience including welding, alignment, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Willing to complete SQF and safety trainings; pass health & safety regulations.
• Experience with plant maintenance in manufacturing or mining preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance inspections, repairs, and rebuilds on plant operating equipment to improve OEE and availability.
• Complete preventive maintenance checks and document findings.
• Initiate work orders and coordinate repairs with Stores for parts and inventory.
• Install and align bearings, seals, belts, chains, and piping systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic/pneumatic systems and air compressors.
• Operate forklifts, man lifts, and other maintenance machinery safely and proficiently.
