Job summary
SA Recycling is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform timely maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy equipment at our Norcross yard. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and manage parts inventory to ensure equipment uptime.
The role requires safety-minded individuals who can document service activities, coordinate with yard management, and operate tools safely in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to safety and quality is essential.
Qualifications
- Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and diesel maintenance.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
- Must pass drug screen, physical and background check.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fuel, electrical, mechanical, brake, and hydraulic systems on various heavy equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks (oil/filters, lubrication, brakes) per OEM and company guidelines.
- Keep accurate service records for all work performed.
- Order and manage spare parts inventory.
- Coordinate with yard General Managers to schedule maintenance or repairs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Safely operate vehicles, equipment, and hand/tools.
