Job summary

Blythe Construction Inc. is seeking a Loader Operator with proven heavy equipment experience for work on roads, highways, and bridges in the Saluda, NC area. The role requires operating multiple machines, maintaining safe operations, and coordinating with supervisors and crew.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of related work experience. The position entails outdoor work in varied weather, with exposure to noise, grease, and dust typical of construction

Qualifications

• Requires demonstrable experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
• Must be able to understand work directions and communicate with supervisors and crew.
• Three (3) years or more of industry-related experience required, emphasis on roads/highways/bridges.

Responsibilities

• Inspects equipment for safe day-to-day operation and maintenance needs.
• Operates heavy equipment (dozers, scrapers, loaders, excavators, tractors) to excavate, move and grade earth.
• Interacts with laborers/crew to align and adjust equipment for grading specifications.
• Turns valves to control air and water output of compressors and pumps.
