Job summary

Biltmore Workforce Management in Asheville, NC seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to maintain estate roads and assist with landscape projects. You will operate backhoe, excavator, bulldozer, dump truck, and mowing equipment, including snow and ice removal as needed.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, at least two years' related experience, and ability to obtain a NC CDL. 32+ hours weekly, Mon–Thu shifts, with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year related degree preferred.
• Two years of heavy equipment experience required; relevant training a plus.
• NC CDL or ability to obtain one within the year.
• Strong safety knowledge and equipment operation protocols.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate backhoe, excavator, bulldozer, dump truck and mowing equipment for estates and roads.
• Maintain roads, trails, storm drains, and start/stop areas; perform snow/ice removal as needed.
• Haul soil, rock, and materials; assist with trench digging for utilities.
• Support other trades and ensure equipment maintenance and safety.
