Job summary

Alamo Group is hiring Snow Equipment Installers / Assemblers in Fond du Lac, WI. You will build, install and calibrate hydraulic mobile equipment, read schematics, and troubleshoot systems. Strong math and tool skills required; overtime may be needed.

Position involves working in a metal manufacturing setting with cranes, welding and fabrication as needed. Previous mobile equipment experience preferred and a HS diploma or GED is recommended.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of two years of experience in mobile equipment installations, repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge in engine diagnostics, drivetrain and diesel engines.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up the assembly job by locating parts and gathering materials according to the work order.
• Assemble, install, remove, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic mobile equipment components.
• Install programs and navigate through and change settings (Codesys, J1939).
• Perform calibration of flow and pressure measuring devices; hydraulic and pneumatic.
• Diagnose hydraulic component issues and troubleshoot system issues.
• Align, position and assemble components using hand tools and torque tools.
• Install moving parts such as engines, clutches, pumps, hoses, and bearings.
• Drill, tap, or ream holes; weld parts using MIG as needed.
• Operate overhead cranes to maneuver large assemblies.
